    Utilities

    Billing Cycle: 
    • Bills are due on the 10th of each month 
    • Bills are sent by the 18th of each month
    • Bills are for the prior month's service (i.e. Bills recieved in January will be for water usage during the month of December)

    Fees: 
    • Fee to connect to city services $75.00 (non-refundable)
    • Reconnect fee $100.00 (non-refundable) 
    • Late fees are 10% of bill after the 10th 
      • Services will be shut off after 10 days of an unpaid bill, and residents will be charged a reconnect fee plus the full bill to reconnect to services after that time

    Water & Sewer

    Water Rates: 
    • First 1,000 gallons is $16.00
      • Each additional 1,000 gallons is $5.00

    Water Monitoring: 

    The city meter technology is able to detect household leaks.  The city will notify residences of any leaks detected.  Individual water usage reports are available upon request.

    Sewer Rates: 
    • $30.00 per month within city limit 
    • $32.00 outside the city limit 

    Water Conservation Tips:

    Saving water has many benefits; it can help save energy, help the environment and save money.  This means that not only can you help ensure there will be more water available in the future but you can also save money through lower utility bills.  This can be as simple as turning off the faucet while you shave or brush your teeth,  install water saving devices such as low flow aerators and water conserving toilets, dishwashers and washing machines.  For more tips you can follow the EPA Water Conservation link below.

    Trash and Recycling Services

    Trash Rates (Average Joe's): 
    • $14.07 per month 
      • Trash is picked up on Monday.  Please have trash out by 6:00 am on Monday mornings. 
    Please note that Average Joe's will not pick up e-waste such as computers, televisions, etc., construction materials, or household hazardous waste. 

    Recycling (Average Joe's): 
    • $6.00 per month
      • Curbside recycling is available upon request.  Recycling is picked up twice a month on the second and fourth Mondays. Recycling tote should be out by 6:00 am on pick up days. Additional Recycling information

    Burn Site:
    The burn site is located on S. Main.  The only items allowed are limbs, grass clippings, brush, etc.  Please do not bring other items.
