Billing Information
The city bills for water, sewer and trash.  Meters are read the 1st working day of the month to provide billing information for the previous month's usage.  Bills are sent out the third week of the month and due on the 10th of the following month.  Payments made after the 10th day of the month are assessed a 10% penalty.  Customers are notified by mail if their account is delinquent and given 10 days to pay their past due bill.  If payment is not received, automatic shut off occurs.

Garbage Collection
Collections
The city has a contract for household residential waste removal.  Residential customers receive weekly household waste collection on Monday.  Trash receptacles should be placed at the curb on Sunday night or no later than 6:00 AM on Monday morning. 

Recycling
There is a trailer for recycling in the parking lot south of the municipal pool off West Walnut Street. There is also a container for cardboard.  The cardboard needs to be broken down before putting it in the container. This is a free service for city residents.   

Brush Collection
Residents may place limbs, leaves and cut grass at the Riley Burn Site but no other materials are allowed.  The burn site is located on South Main and open Wednesday 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
